Our Leader

Dr. Roopadevi Rana
Gynecologic Oncosurgeon | Visionary Educator | Social Architect

Dr. Roopadevi Rana, an eminent gynecologic oncosurgeon, is the dynamic torchbearer of a profound legacy—originating from her illustrious father, Mr. Nagendrapa S. Gundi, the founder of both the Mahatma Gandhi Education and Welfare Trust and the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Education and Welfare Trust. With deep reverence for her roots and an unwavering commitment to transformative social change, Dr. Rana has emerged as a formidable force in the intersection of medicine, education, and women’s empowerment.

Guided by the timeless principle of "Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam"—the world is one family—Dr. Rana is resolute in her vision to uplift and empower every girl child across Karnataka through equitable access to education, healthcare, and dignified living. Her life’s mission orbits around two imperatives: the intellectual emancipation of women and the creation of a robust, health-conscious society grounded in compassion and knowledge.

A specialist in gynecologic oncology, Dr. Rana is a vocal advocate for cervical cancer prevention through universal HPV vaccination. She is devoted to implementing widespread, community-based initiatives aimed at early detection and timely intervention of female-related malignancies—particularly in rural and underserved populations. Her clinical expertise is matched by her strategic foresight, ensuring that awareness, accessibility, and affordability remain central to every public health campaign she leads.

In parallel with her medical endeavors, Dr. Rana helms numerous initiatives under the aegis of her father's trusts, focusing on the education and professional advancement of women from marginalized communities. Her efforts have catalyzed a generational shift—empowering thousands of young women to pursue careers, participate in civic life, and contribute meaningfully to societal development.

Through Dr. Roopa Rana Business Solutions Pvt. Ltd., she has also pioneered innovative healthcare infrastructure services—facilitating the establishment of clinics, surgical centers, and medical e-commerce platforms aimed at democratizing access to quality care, particularly in oncology and surgical disciplines.

Dr. Roopadevi Rana is not merely continuing a legacy—she is expanding it with visionary clarity, clinical precision, and moral courage. Her life’s work stands as a testament to the belief that when a girl is educated and healthy, the entire family, community, and nation ascend.
